Taken on a day in Hong Kong where the great but crazy busy city was shut down for the day because of a typhoon. A typhoon is essentially an Asian hurricane, or tropical storm, where winds can reach over 75mph, which would damage trees, cars and property. Most people were shut indoors, but not me. I put on my cape (it amazed me how many locals tried to use their umbrellas...utterly useless) and took my camera out. Typhoon season for Hong Kong is approximately between June to October. It's the first time I've seen a major city in shutdown mode, so to make it interesting, I went out the next day and stood in some same places to photograph and show you how busy Hong Kong is on a normal day !
