About one third of the planet is technically desert, but a desert is actually defined as somewhere that loses more moisture than it gains, and strangely the Antarctic qualifies as a desert ! Not only that, but nearly 50,000 square miles of the earth becomes desert every year, mainly because of climate change stuff. This gallery was all shot in Jordan, Wadi Rum, one of the smaller deserts and famous for the filming of Lawrence of Arabia and a place where he actually travelled through more than once !
