Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico, is 7,000 feet above sea level and enjoys plenty of sunshine, on average of 300 days each year. However, it can snow
as early as October and as late as May.
It's the oldest continuous capital in what is now the United States, and it still has the oldest church and house in the USA, which are actually older than
the Taj Mahal !
Santa Fe's full name is "La Villa Real de la Santa Fé de San Francisco de Asís" or, the Royal Town of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisi ! Shortened to
Santa Fe it means “Holy Faith” in Spanish.
